Petteri Vainikka is CMO at Ardoq, and is a frequent speaker at industry events globally. Petteri has an MSc in technology from Aalto University in Helsinki, a degree in higher education pedagogics, and a PhD currently on hold. Throughout his 15+ year career spanning mobile, internet, data, and enterprise SaaS technologies, he has always found himself at the intersection of emerging technology and its hands-on commercial application.
His most recent experience has been at the forefront of Data Management Platform (DMP) evolution from a buzzword to globally recognized billion dollar enterprise SaaS market. He is driven by genuine passion to help customers understand and succeed within rapidly changing ecosystems, catalyzed by new technology.
DPO Sympatico Consulting
Sorcha Lorimer is an independent Data Protection Officer (DPO) at Sympatico Consulting, she is a qualified privacy risk management expert, experienced facilitator, digital strategist, project manager and communicator; this experience helps her understand how the regulation really impacts a company's marketing, IT, cyber security and operations.
As the founder of Sympatico, Sorcha advises large and small businesses on GDPR, digital risk, strategy and information management, privacy frameworks, digital strategies and brand resilience, and provides outsourced DPO as a service. Sorcha had substantial experience with digital and data risk management at Standard Life where, as Head of Digital, Sorcha was the key liaison point between legal, procurement, risk, security and brand on a number of strategic digital projects. Sorcha is a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
An experienced and pragmatic security leader with over 10 years experience in cyber security, Nic attempts to be the voice of reason in a loud and confusing field. Beginning his career in the UK Government investigating threats to national security, Nic moved to the private sector and worked within small financial services firms to prevent breaches.
In 2017, Nic founded Aedile Consulting to help startups and small to medium sized companies with their cyber security strategies. Aedile's approach is to provide a pathway to improving security, providing pragmatic advice and small packages of work allowing companies to better understand and manage their own security risks.
Colan is a delivery-focused digital leader and strategist with significant project and programme management experience across a number of sectors. He is recognised in Scotland’s ‘Tech 100’ as one of the key figures driving the nation’s digital agenda.
Colan is currently leading the development of a new overarching web strategy and governance programme for the University of Edinburgh, which is ranked inside the world’s top 20 Universities. Prior to his current role, he worked with the Scottish Government’s newly-formed Digital Transformations Service, developing strategies and transformation programmes across public sector organisations.
